How to prioritise your health and positively affect your child’s
While we all must have heard over a million time in our life, that health is wealth, and that we should truly prioritise it as much as we prioritise money, success, and wealth, we often forget, or procrastinate, making positive changes in our way of life for the betterment of our physical and mental health, and to act now to make tomorrow less painful and instead happier.
Sometimes, it’s all too overwhelming to
begin with. Whether its thinking of what kinds of food you should be eating,
where to get the right nutrients from or even, trying to understand if you need
to start incorporating something like spirulina tablets into
your routine. That is the biggest but most important hurdle to pass, because it
only gets easier from there. A quick tip is to start with a consultation with
your family doctor and map out your life with them, and understand what the
potential pain points in your life are and what you can start to do to manage
them.
Break down your day, and incorporate
something heathy and natural in everything you do. Starting the day with
coffee? Why not use ayurvedic
products such as turmeric powder for milk to being your day instead?
Something as simple as that can ensure that you are working towards
strengthening your immune system. Things like these can also be a family wide
ritual, ensuring that you are positively working towards your kid’s health and
showing them how to care for themselves and their bodies from a very young age.
Make time for health. As little as 15
minutes to meditate to begin with goes a long way for your mental health. You
can think clearly, are calmer and can accomplish much more in a day by starting
it right. Over time, you should aim to create a routine that incorporates
working out in some form, whether that is yoga, or changing the way you commute
to incorporate more walking that it usually would. Working out strengthens your
immune system and promotes a healthier body. While talking about immune
systems, it is important to understand how you can help your child improve their
own. There are several ways to do it, and the easiest way is to use natural immune boosters for kids,
to ensure that they are healthy and equipped to recover from any looming common
illness.
Create a routine and stick to it. Eating
and sleeping at the right time is the most underrated concept of health, and
the easiest to get into check. Never skip breakfast, and try to eat at least
two hours before you fall asleep. Ensure that you are planning your day in a
way that you get at least seven to nine hours of sleep depending on what you
require to be your optimal self the next morning.
Unwind. Slow down. Breathe. While making
changes in your lifestyle is important to prioratise your health, taking time
off and relaxing is equally important. Use this time to regain the energy used
in the week prior, and rejuvenate for your busy life that lies ahead. These
short breaks are necessary to detach and to bring back perspective in your
life. When your child sees how you prioritise your health, and understands the
concept of slowing down, you are showing them a sustainable lifestyle to avoid
burnout at a young age.
There you have it, simple thing to start
giving a thought to and incorporating into your life. Are these things you
already do? Or is it something you wish to spend more time on? Make a plan, and
stick to it, for you will lead a happier life once you prioratise your health.
